Atheletes Without Limits

During fall, many Wakefield Warriors choose to row with our local chapter of Athletes Without Limits.

Due to COVID-19, many rowing activities have been modified to ensure the safety of all participants.  Please read the information below. 

 

All participants must understand and agree to adhere to the following precautions.

COVID-19 Precautions

  • PARTICIPANTS CANNOT ATTEND PRACTICE IF YOU HAVE HAD A FEVER OVER 100.4 DEGREES OR COVID-19 RELATED SYMPTOMS IN THE PAST 14 DAYS.

  • Participants must wear masks on land at all times.

  • Foot traffic patterns are ONE WAY on all ramps and around the small boathouse at ACBA.

  • There is a limited/reduced of number of total people permitted at ACBA at one time.

  • Only small boats will be used until further notice. (No Eights or Fours, optional doubles with restrictions.)

  • All equipment must be disinfected after each session.

Expectations for Rowers & Parents

  • Report any COVID-19 symptoms or positive test results to coaches immediately.

  • Treat all participants and equipment with respect.

  • Be flexible and understanding with practice assignments and absences.

  • Be On Time.

  • Communicate planned absence via email or slack at least 24 hours in advance.

  • ROWERS:  PAY ATTENTION TO SLACK 

Before You Row, You MUST

  • Pay Your Fees.  (See Payments page for details.)

  • Ensure you have an active USRowing Basic Membership.

  • Sign all waivers, including COVID-19 waiver.

Rowing Sessions

  • Sessions will run from August 31, 2020 until November 6, 2020.

  • There will be three weekday practice group times:

    • 6:00AM - 7:30AM: Varsity Girls 

    • 4:00PM - 6:00PM: Learn to Scull/Novices

    • ​6:00PM - 8:00PM: Varsity Boys

  • Weekly practice assignments will be provided by the coaches in advance.
