FAQ - Registration Process

1. Who are the members of Wakefield Crew?

Since Wakefield Crew Boosters is a parent-run organization, parents and legal guardians are the primary paying members.  Students are added to the parent or legal guardian's account once it is established.  Students may not sign-up as primary members, unless approved by Wakefield Crew Boosters.

Alumni parents and students may be members of Wakefield Crew and receive separate accounts.

Coaches and select school administration officials are members as well.

2. How much does it cost to be a member of Wakefield Crew?

Fees are set each January by the Wakefield Crew Boosters.  The fees are different for annual (primary) members and for alumni.

As of January 1, 2010 the following schedule has been approved:

  • Annual Members (parents): $350.00 (pre-discounted by $50.00 with commitment to volunteer)
  • Alumni Members (lifetime): $250.00
  • Alumni Members (annual): $25.00
  • Perspective Members (4-month): FREE

3. How can I pay for dues and other fees?

One of the benefits of online club management is the variety of payment options for members.  For all dues, fees, and other charges payment may be made by:

  • Personal Check*
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • AMEX
  • Discover Card
  • Cash (not preferred)

* Please note that appropriate and customary fees will be charged against your Wakefield Crew account for all returned checks in addition to those imposed by your financial institution.  Wakefield Crew reserves the right to refuse payment in the form of a personal check for past history of returned/unpaid checks.

4. Are there any discounts applied to dues for volunteering?

We recognize the expense of this sport and while we are the lowest cost program in the area, we continually look for ways to mitigate the burden on our Wakefield Crew families.

For volunteering at a regatta, one of our many obligations as a scholastic rowing club in this area, your fees at the time of payment will be discounted by $50.00.  If you are unable to meet your commitment to volunteer at least once, $50 will be charged to your Wakefield Crew account and is due by June 1st.

There are other opportunities to earn discounts or credits many of which come through helping out in fundraising activities.  Those activities will be announced throughout the season.

If you have any questions, please contact Patricia Donahoo at treasurer@wakefieldcrew.org
