Welcome to Wakefield Crew
The Wakefield Crew has been around for over 15 years. Wakefield Crew focuses on developing, training, and mentoring young rowers. Unlike some sports where you “age-out”, rowing is life long sport that can carry a young person into adulthood. Not only does rowing develop a young person’s physical fitness to be successful on the race course, but it develops the young rower’s mind in preparation for the challenges they will face in college and beyond.
Rowing builds the confidence it takes to be successful and it leads our students to personal excellence in the classroom. Teamwork, trust, integrity, and respect are all values that Wakefield Crew rowers hold true. That commitment and dedications shows in the results.

Our Values
Trust - For all Wakefield Crew rowers, they know they can count on the rower behind them and that no matter the situation help and support are always there.
Respect - Respect carries the team through the hardest losses and leads to its greatest successes. Wakefield Crew rowers work hard for the respect of school staff, coaches, their teammates and other teams. In return, they show respect two-fold.
Personal Integrity - Each individual tries his or her hardest delivering on the commitments he or she makes to the team, whether it is working towards his or personal goals or just carrying water when it’s time to carry water.
Teamwork - Teams that work together will win together. The vision for success and the goals that pave the way are understood by all Wakefield Crew rowers.
